Open the Eyes of My Understanding!!

Good Morning, Diamonds and Gents!  I am so excited to say I finally understand what I've been praying since I was a child.  One day, I was standing in front of this picture my Mom had on the wall.  It was the Foot prints poem.  Anyway, I was 8 years old.  When I read it I understood it.  But, what made me pray for God to open the eyes of my understanding. Was when the man that cried out to God didn't understand.

He said when he looked back over his life and he notice there was only one set of footprints in the sand.  He notice it was at the toughest times in his life.  He didn't get it, or even understand that those were the times God himself had to carry him through those times.  Right then, I was standing there as a little girl and my prayer was for God to open the eyes of my understanding.

I was just listening to a recent sermon by Bishop T.D. Jakes talking about this very thing.  I was in stock.  You know I remember every time I felt low I would stand in front of that picture. I'm telling you and get encouraged.  No matter what I went through.  I've been writing songs since I was 7. I ran across a unfinished song that said open the eyes to my understanding now I can finish it.

I realize why the Lord has been keeping me.  I realize why I walk in so much wisdom, knowledge and understanding.  It's because, I never wanted to be void of understanding.  The flip side to that is old fools get mad at you because you are not ignorant of the enemy devices.  You to young to know that you only this age and that.  So when will I not hear that.  Because, being 50 and still hearing that will be a problem point blank period. 

So if you are one that don't have much understanding this is what I want you to do.  Pray this prayer.  For God to open the eyes of your understanding.  Oh yeah and didn't know it at the time but this is bible.  All I have to say is WOW!

Lord this is phenomenal! You are so awesome.  By the way book will be out in April.  Putting finally touches on it.  You know anyone that sings gospel, soul or R&B.  You want to put this book in there hands.  God Bless you all.  And go and get your praise on!  Much Love Darlings!!!
