Pepsi Gives Rapper the Can
"Catch Living It Up on http://www.blogtalkradio.com/mstra-thatgem Saturday at 1:30pmct"
Diamonds and Gents 1st Ricky Rosary loses Reebok endorsement and now Lil Wayne. Honnee they are holding these rappers accountable to there lyrics. Well Lil Wayne had lyric directed toward Emmett Till in his song. How he would beat a woman up like or bad as Till something to the sorts. Baby Pepsi say oh hellz no you won't. Why? Because, Till family wanted to meet with PepsiCo.
They have decide to cut ties with the rapper. He had a deal to promote there Mountain Dew soda. Well, PepsiCo said in a statement late Friday that Wayne's "offensive reference to a revered civil rights icon does not reflect the values of our brand." It declined to provide any further comment.
Wayne's people said that this parting was due to creative differences.
All I have to say is you all just not start listening to these rappers. They been slapping B's and Hoe's and everybody been buying and blasting it. Now see that's what I'm talking about. Make them accountable to what they put out and the image they portray.
What do you think? Do you feel it was in poor taste to reference Emmett Till in this way? Or do you not care one way or the other?
Much Love Darlings!!!
